Pear Harvest
Colored Pencil on Stonehenge Approx. 12"x 16" (approximately)
Labels: Available
An antique fruit crate I had was so interesting I had to create a still life around it. The pears were so ready to eat. Before I started I had no idea how I was going to approach the edges of the boards in the foreground, but I feel it is one of the interesting parts of this painting.

I was very happy the way this commission portrait turned out. The foliage and stone work was difficult but turned out well.

Limes and Orange
Colored Pencil on Stonehenge 9"x 13" (approximately)

This antique worn weathered distressed wood box has so much character. It was truly a challenge to paint but well worth the effort. That's how it looks exactly. I was very happy with how it turned out.
Tuesday
Garlic Trio
Colored Pencil on Stonehenge 10"x 14" (approximately)

This a still life I set up at night on my the dining room table. I found the reflections very intriguing and I really enjoyed trying to stay loose in the foreground, but also tightly render the cloves of garlic.
Friday
Vine Tomatoes
Colored Pencil on Stonehenge 9"x 13" (approximately)

This painting appears almost surreal. This was a scene on my kitchen table and I really like the dramatic shadows from the sunset which gives it almost a neon glow.
Monday

This commission was a joy to do. I love painting young children and was pleased with the way the flowers and the foreground dappled light were handled. Also the mom loved it!
